Default 2002 Auto Slipping

OK, well here goes my trans is now getting worse on my car. I have had 4.10 gears installed and at first they were doing good and were very peppy but now my trans is acting all funky. After about 300 super easy miles I decided to take her to the track to see what I could do well turns out my NEW best time is a 14.290. Thats rediculous considering a couple weeks ago my best was a 14.403. It was nice out and not cold but cool (evening) The first time I went to the line I staged and brake torqued it up a little bit to about 13-1500 rpms I let off the brake and stomp it and I didn't even brake the tires loose. Well the best I could pull off was the 14.2 and I am very disappointed, because I just stick it in drive and hit the gas. The 60ft times were an avg. of 2.1 with absolutely NO SLIPPING or SPINNING and the tires will not even chirp. My trans was having probs prior to getting the gears and the dealership guy told me they would not fix it untill its completely broke. He told me to go out and beat the piss outta it and bring it back in when its broke and he'd fix it. What I'm wondering is there anyway to make an auto trans fail without destroying the rest of my car? I have been told to take out a quart and a half of trans fluid and run it like that till it goes then put the fluid back in but my thought is that if I do that then wouldn't it burn the fluid thats in there and they could blame it on my LT headers? What could I do to make my trans fail completely??

ya try and work on your launches.. I've seen guys in 03 cobras run like 1.9 or 1.8 60ft times.. You should be faster than low 14s though..

With my mods FORD will not even touch my transmission. They are now avoiding me and not willing to tell me why they will not fix my trans..good luck getting Ford to fix a modded vehicle unless you work for them or know them real good. Even with an attorney they feel they are above the law. GOOD LUCK!

YOU CAN'T LAUNCH AN AUTO ANY BETTER!!! I have all the suspension mods needed if you'd read my sig. instead of just shooting stuff out that your not paying attention to. Back to my original q how can I make it fail??

Good luck dude! taking out the oil is the only way to really ruin it! Since its an auto you could shift it very irradically by hand but it might take a while. Just be smart and replace a good amount of the oil when you take it in so it doesnt look totally burnt, but not too much either dont want it to look brand new. If you run into problems getting it fixed, have a back up plan like ebay.com or something. You might be buying your own transmission. It doesnt make sence though the last car I bought I took it in for every little noise it made and never had a problem getting it fixed. Just act stupid when you go in or send your wife in with it and play dumb and say you want it fixed but arent sure whats wrong with it. Weather they like it or not thats what a warranty is for. If they wont call the owner or manager or even your attorney. Good Luck!

Run the shifter back and fourth between reverse and neutral at about 1500 rpms... That will screw it up pretty quickly... You can do it at a higher rpm, but then you really stress your driveline. I think 1500 is the stock stall for the converter. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.
