OK, well here goes my
trans is now getting worse on my car. I have had 4.10 gears installed and at first they were doing good and were very peppy but now my
trans is acting all funky. After about 300 super easy miles I decided to take her to the track to see what I could do well turns out my NEW best time is a 14.290. Thats rediculous considering a couple weeks ago my best was a 14.403. It was nice out and not cold but cool (evening) The first time I went to the line I staged and brake torqued it up a little bit to about 13-1500 rpms I let off the brake and stomp it and I didn't even brake the tires loose. Well the best I could pull off was the 14.2 and I am very disappointed, because I just stick it in drive and hit the gas. The 60ft times were an avg. of 2.1 with absolutely NO SLIPPING or SPINNING and the tires will not even chirp. My
trans was having probs prior to getting the gears and the dealership guy told me they would not fix it untill its completely broke. He told me to go out and beat the piss outta it and bring it back in when its broke and he'd fix it. What I'm wondering is there anyway to make an auto
trans fail without destroying the rest of my car? I have been told to take out a quart and a half of
trans fluid and run it like that till it goes then put the fluid back in but my thought is that if I do that then wouldn't it burn the fluid thats in there and they could blame it on my LT headers? What could I do to make my
trans fail completely??
