Ok, after MUCH research on my part (some biased by manufacturers, most independent), seems that the cost vs performance issue for best tires for our Stangs comes down to two makers, 4 styles:
Toyo T-1-S & Toyo FZ4
Bridgestone Bridgestone Potenza RE750 & S-03 Pole Position
I also plan on going up to a 255/40/17.
Anyone had experiences with these tires? I'm sure all of us would welcome the input.
Btw, this could have been posted before, just can't recall the link.

This is a good thread. Id like to know a little bit about what kind of tires everyones got. Im still using my stock Eagle ZR45 Goodyears. Been ok so far (except in the rain) but i have havent done many mods yet So.....let us know.
I agree with milw96cobra the Kuhmo MX's are on my y2k cobra r's and they stick very well, and the price is as low as it gets for a Max performance tire.

Tire rack has a rating system. From their ratings I am going to buy continential extreme contact. These tires rated good in all catagories but mainly they rated very good in snow our OEM Good years are awful in snow and rated unacceptable. These tires run about $110.00 each in 245 45 17 just my 2 cents
I don't even try to drive my car in the snow, I borrow my girlfriends car or catch a ride to work with a friend.

Driving a mustang in the snow will greatly inprove your driving skills. It will also make your Knuckles white. The traction control is a joke Im thinking of unpluging it lol later Dennis
i have the potenza's and they are a great tire in wet ad dry conditions, i had toyo proxies previously and i didnt like them as much, the potenzas are really loud at highway sppeds tho.

why you didin't like the toyo proxies? i have checked them and the info looks great, also i have watching the yokohamas and i don't know which one should i get i don't get nittos cuz i think that is just a brand and not performance. also cuz its nice to be trying different tires.
