Question 2001 cobra starter

so im trying to change the starter on my friends cobra but am perplexed as to how to get to the top bolt anyone who has done this and knows a trick or something to get to the top bolt it would be greatly appreciated thank you

first off is it up on a lift? the higher you can get the car up the easier it will probably be. when i had my clutch installed i watched closely on how they got it off. They used a very long 3/8 extension and went in from the front of the engine. one guy fed the socket and extension and the other lined it up with the bolt. It looked like it took a bit of patience but they got it done. this is all assuming the starter for that cobra is the same as my GT.

Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.

In deed this is the best way to get it. I have had mine out about 3 times now. Tranny swap, throwout bearing bad, and now rebuilding the motor.

i dont have it up on a lift i have it on jackstands it is pretty hight up though i guess i need to get a longer extension and a little more patience as i am doing it alone anyway im stuck at work till tommorow morning ill be back at it after that though thanks for the help ill let you guys know how it goes

yeah i think it was a 2 or 3 foot extension. sears has them decently priced.

ok i have good news and bad news i got the starter swapped out and that top bolt was a beast but when i turn the key i still get one single click its isnt the battery just put a new one in like 2 weeks ago does anyone have any idea what this could mean
