please dont jump on me about this. i know we've already decussed this but bbk makes sub frame connectors for my 97gt for 110.00 dollars. they are bolt ons. i dont know any one who welds and i wanted to know if these will be any good.also gripp makes some for 130.00 that have seat bracket supports. they also bolt on. what should i do. thank you and sorry double posting.
Maximum Motorsports has bare metal full length SFC for $119 and powder coated for $149. Goes from the rear torque boxes to the firewall. Shipping may cost a little more due to the size but they say it stiffens the ride by 30%. FYI
what do people think of Steeda's sfc's. They are reasonably priced, even the alloy ones are only a little over $100. they also have those additional seat bracket weld-ins for only another $25. I was just wondering why I never hear anything about people using steeda's stuff? ( that is other than their tri-ax shifter, underdrive pulleys, and timing aduster)

Different people that I have talked to liked the steeda SFC but there were a few things they would change. One is that the ends weren't tapered. Hit a speed bump or lower your ride and they would scrape. Also there might be a problem with aftermarket exhaust.
My .02 is to go with the welded in full length connectors. Like these guys have said, a good muffler shop will do it for you. You can also see if they would be willing to custom fab some for you. It couldnt cost more than what you are going to pay for the new ones with shipping and chances are they will be sturdier. The key is what materials the shop will use. If they have never done it before then you may be out of luck...but you would be surprised what you might find out.
Good luck.

Could some of you guys who posted that you made your own send me some specifics about them. I have a friend who welds and works at a machine shop who could probably make me some if we have some info to start from like measurements or a diagram or something.
