hey everyone, i picked up a 95 cobra hood for 100 bucks and also got the white face gauges cheap too!! it was off a salvage, my car is blue and the hood is gloss black, but it really doenst look all that bad on it, anyways..i got the gauges cuz they were cheap and i thought it matched up....both had redline at 6,000 but..closer inspection..the cobra tach went to 7,000 and mine goes to 8,000 so dammit i cant use them! lol i have an automatic so i guess i could..since i dont use the tach really but..better not..anyways i dont want this to be a whole awaste of a deal so the temp, volt, gas, and oil meter should all be the same right?? i could use them i guess at least..and does anyone know after u pull the needles off does it go back to normal when u plug the whole system in? thanks also can any moderators tell me how to change my singnature..i got a few add ons ot add to it and i cant find a way on the homepage

I know if you have it professionally done it will work just fine. I was thinking about getting the Cobra face gauges for my car, and looked and the whole redlining thing... Since i have an auto i was gonna get some when i had the money. But as long as MPH isnt different your okay!

what kind of car did u have venemouss or do have i mean? i think the MPH is the same..both goes to 150 but it seems there might be a bit more space between the marks...should i just use the temp and such?

i dunno its got the 2 big scoops in it and a bit taller...the guy said it was a 95 i got it from a friend of a friend...but it did have a 5.0 in it..cuz the strut tower brace wouldnt fit on mine

well i have a 6 cylinder, but my friend has a gt and used it...i was asking about the mph because i know the GTs and cobras both have 150...but some after market ones are 160..

thats such a tite lookin hood, i believe thats from the 96-98 though.. I want one of those hoods!!
it might be...maybe he replaced it..i know its a 5.0 orginally becuz the instrument cluster that came out of it says 5.0 and i know they didnt make them after 95! lol so maybe it is and he replaced his..yeah it is tight!! altho its black it looks good on my atlantic blue gt, i want to cut out the bottom of it so i know it wont do much but either relieve some hot engine air out of the car or let some cool fresh air in to help cool things down, prolly gain a half a horse but it will be functional! lol venoumouse what year is your friends gt..after close inspection i dont think any of those gages will work, well correctly or look right on my 98...that sucks...i dunno tho

lol i'd just leave it how it is. but hey, when are you gonna show us some pics of this hood? I've always wondered what a cobra hood would look like on a GT..hmmm, im' awaiting pics! Thanks
id love to but i dont got a scanner..ill try..it looks the same except with a cobra hood! lol i could have had the front bumper for 150 too! but i dont got the extra cash right now...
