You know i was right about to ask the same thing.. Where can you get them and how hard are they to install? Is there a site out there or something about them? Thanks
Got to Corral.net classifieds or Stangnet classifieds. As far as install probably 250 bucks or so if you cant do it yourself. If you take it to Ford it will cost a lot more. I bought mine for 150 shipped. That included the gears. Make sure you try and get the gears!!! Some are press on and some are bolt on.

I know Sean Hyland sells them and it says like $550 bucks so I am going to jump out on a limb and say that is for both of them that you will need. I can't see the job being that bad in a GT. It looks rather easy to get to the heads on these engines.
Has anybody ever ran across a manual solely for their Mustang not some haynes or chiltons that can span 10 years? Sorry for the off topic question.

Well if I had a person to walk me through it, I would try the install myself. I just dont trust myself to do it alone. Plus my car is a daily driver so it cant be down for any amount of time longer than a day.
Thanks for the replies. One day I'll get around to buying them.

That's kinda what I figure he wanted was a couple of hopped up cams. I didnt realize he just wanted to replace his stocks? Did he break or bend one?
Sorry for going off topic

Hey twokings, i know this might be a lil off topic.. What kinda gains could i see with some PI cams and some porting on my stock heads?? Is it worth it?
Luke a good port and valve work will run you probably around 650 bucks. They more you spend the more gain you will get however. At some point you will obviously hit the performance ceiling. I have been told by a shop that has done the non PI heads before that I could expect to see around 35-45 RWHP for around 650 dollars worth of porting and valve work. That does sound kinda high, but the non PI heads areent that great to work with. They can be made to flow decently though. With the addition of the PI cams that jump goes up to around 55+. Now if I wanted to spend 2500 dollars and have them overhaul the valve train and do all kind of flow bench work, then I could expect around 75 HP gain. Possibly more but no garuntee. Their words. Dusty told me he has completely maxed out a set of non PI heads as far as port and polish and valve work goes and he got great gains, but it was very costly.
For my money, the 650 for the headwork, 150 for cams, and around 150 or so for the new headbolts, gaskets, and seals is worth a 50+ HP gain to the rear wheels and 65+ torque. Figure that a new headswap kit shipped is going for around 1300 to 1400 dollars for a 45 HP gain. Plus your compression jumps up.

Not bad at all for about a 1000 dollars worth of work. I assume this would be a better approach for S/C down the road due to the lower compression than doing a PI headswap. Sounds like the way to go to me.
