Where is the EVAP canister on a 2000 mustang GT? What is the best way to trouble shoot a fuel leak in the vacuum system?

hook up a smoke machine to a vacuum line, and use a spotlight to find any smoke seeping out.

i have an EVAP leak on my 2005, and it was under the back bumper. im not sure about the location of your year.

but like i said, hooking up a smoke machine is probably the best way to find the leak.

found it...Passenger side 1/4 above exhaust (tail) pipe. Looks like a bugger to get out. Think I'll get the smoke test. Don't need to fight that R&R without justification.
