Default 2003 Gt rear end gear questions

When putting in 3.73's would you guy's recomend a new bearing set? car has 50900.7 miles as of today.Is it true that your gauges will read incorrectly after you switch out your rear end gears? And if I get a tuner with my gears would it be better to get a preloaded or a custum tunes one? help!!!! need the lowdown on tuners

I would recommend new bearings, and I'd rebuild the trac-lock while I had it opened up. It's also a good time to replace the axle bearings, since the axles have to come out.

Your speedo will read incorrectly without a speedcal or a tuner. The tuner would be the best bet, and it is well worth it to have a custom tune done, even if it's a mail order tune from one of the reputable tuners like VMP. The preloaded tunes are horrible. Find someone near you that does dynotunes, and buy whatever hardware they support, even if you're not getting a dynotune at the time, you'll probably need one in the future.

i have yet to find some one else who when changing their oil ( every 2000 miles or when they get bored ) details the under side of their car.

X-C April 2010,Heads, Cam,Internals April 2011, or blown engine, witch ever comes first.
