Default 2001 Mustang GT rear end humming

I recently started hearing a humming sound from the rear of my '01 GT. i have had it over a year and it has been fantastic. recently i replaced the brake pads, and later that night on a slow right turn i heard the hum. my neighbor is a tech and we went on a drive so he could hear it and he said it sounds like the clutch disks. so we replaced the stock diff and put in an Auburn pro diff. and even replaced all the bearings except the pinion bearing. the gear stayed the stock 327. after all the work, the next day, the same hum came. so obviously it wasnt the diff. what could it be? it mostly happens on slower right turns. it has happened a few times on left turns, and rarely when going straight. please help!

if it's obviously not the differential, and happens more on left turns, my best guess would be an axle bearing.

well with the new diff we also put all new bearings and seals, so its not the bearings.

Have you swapped the tires from back to front to see if the noise follows?
