Diablo Sport chip from Vortech, tuning question I have a few questions, perhaps someone can answer.
I shipped my ECM to Vortech while I was doing the install, and they added a Diablo Sport chip, and sent it back to me. Everything works fine with the tune they added on the chip for the S/C. I told them I had aftermarket gearing (4.10s) but I don't think they were able to recalibrate the speedo with the chip, so now my speedometer is WAY off due to the gears.
I previously had a Superchips programmer, and compensated for the gearing with that.
So basically my question is: Does anyone have this setup, and what is the name or part # of the chip? I can't seem to find it on the Diablosport website. My invoice only says "Diablosport chip." There's no other useful information.
I don't think it would be a good idea to plug the Superchips programmer into the car with a Diablo chip, but I'd kinda like my speedo to work properly and not read 80 mph when I'm goin 55.
I'm guessing the Diablo Predator tuner will be compatible with this chip. I don't know much about the various tuners available.
I plan on doing a few more mods and then having the car tuned at Haywood Custom Speed Shop in Raleigh. Does anyone have experience with them? I hear they're highly regarded. I hope they support Diablo tunes. I couldn't get on the website earlier.
I need to do more research on all of this, but I have a lot of other crap goin on with work. If anyone can kick me a few quick answers, I'd appreciate it.
