Any Suggestions? 02mustang gt cam questions

i have an 02 gt 2v 4.6L that i bought some compcams for. the specs on the new cams are
INT: EXH:
{adv dur@ .006} 267 273 (dur @ .05) 230 236
(valve lift) .495 .495

i was wondering if i would have to upgrade my valve train for this app. some friends say no some say yeah. mechanic says maybe lol.

Talk to comp cams to see for certain, but I would definitely upgrade the valve springs at the least to avoid problems such as floating the valves. IMO springs should always be done when you do a cam change.

ya i think what what u have is thier stage 1 and that calls for a 2400 plus stall and like 355 gears not completely need right away u will not b gettin the full potentiall of the cam without thiem but ur duration ur dration is nice wich almost makes me think they are stage 2 but ur lify is low like a stage 1 ur gona have a wild cam thier with such a low lift ur stock springs will work but they are under more pruser id say for sure get at leats 200lbs springs. and u might as well get new lifter and a new timing chain set up and im curantly goin through this i changed my cams and didnt do my oil pump and know i need to remove the k member, oil pan, timing cover agian so u might as well change all u can if u got the cash.
