Default 2000 mustang gt underhood, fuse or cheap preformacne chip?

I've owned my mustang for about a year now and have pretty much replaced everything that had already been done to it. i noticed a small black box to the left of my cold air intake, inside is what looks like an oversized fuse however it says " DOM REP" on it. one friend believes it is a performace chip but i can't find it in any owners manual or on any website, does anyone know what im talking about and what it is? thanks

I have the same thing I believe on my '99GT. Never really investigated as to what it was and read though. When I get home maybe I'll check it out and see if it fits your description.

It appears to be a big ass 30 Amp fuze. Hell if I know what it goes to. It's not a performance chip though. I never thought twice about it until you posted this.

I have an idea. You take yours out and go drive the car and see what happens. Then get back to us.
