Default 5.0L swap in a 2001 gt!

Has anyone put a 302 in a 2001 gt. Is it a waste of time? I would prefer a push rod motor of the modular 4.6l and I'm just wondering if it's a huge hassle or not?

I wouldn't call it a complete waste of time. Obviously I'm a pushrod kinda guy so I like the idea! Any engine swap can be a hassle, but if you really want to do it I give you a !

Now that I think about it, why limit yourself to a 302?? I suggest either a stroked 302 (331 or 347) OR a 351W based engine!

Do you know anyone who has done it before? Does it bolt right up?

I don't see nothing wrong with it but +1 on going to a stroker route. You'll need to find a K memeber from a 94-95 GT, EEC and harness, tranny and so on for the swap.
Modulars aren't hard to work on but the pushrods are alot easier though, to me.
