 Clicking noise Serpentine belt?
Theres a noise in my serpentine pulleys system. The noise is coming from either the idler pulley or the tensioner. The noise isnt exactly a squeeking noise, its more of a clicking noise. The thing is, the noise is louder from the idler pulley, but when i spray the serpentine belt with dressing, the noise goes away. But the thing is, the groves of the belt doesnt touch the idler. What do you think this could be? Theres no cracks in the belts or anything. And when i start it up, it makes the noise as a clicking noise. Then when i drive it back home i go to see if theres a noise, and its gone. I just want to have an idea what it might be first before taking it to a mechanic. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
