My car was in the shop, and while there, a "freak rare accident" happened according to them. Apparently they grounded out my car with some electrical equipment. Now my front two speakers in the doors don't work. Any suggestions about what could have blown?

you might look at the amps like gtraptor said. some amps have fuses in them that are "supposed" to blow when a car gets grounded out. check the amp fuses and see whats up. what were they doing anyway to cause this problem?

They were only suppose to be doing body work.... One of my brilliant neighbors backed into my car... When I got the car back the speedometer needle was on the wrong side of the stop bar, and my front two speakers weren't working. Not to mention the huge gash down my drivers side...

Man that really sucks. And just your front speakers dont work? this is a mach 460 right? Is it just the tweeters on the windows or in the doors also?
I hate how one problem always turns into another....mine always seems to be with transmissions.

The 460 has seperate amps for each set of speakers total of four. For both front speakers to be out they would have to blown 2 fuses one for each front amp. My guess would be they blew something out in the head unit. Either way the shop has to be responsable freak accident or not hold them responsable. This really sucks, good luck man, stay after them, theaten them with the BBB. If they are any kind of reputable shop I would hope they will help you.
It was all I could do to get them to fix the gash in the door, and I had to threaten lawsuit and wait over a week. They never did fix the side that was hit right...
And since my insurance company had to pick up the tab because the guy who hit me didn't have insurance, I was under time restriction with the rental and I ran out of time. There is a lawsuit pending from State Farm against the dealership. I just decided to handle the smaller things on my own.
Speaking of which, does anybody know a good body shop in Atlanta?
