Default You Guys Were Right Again! - Big Time!

Just got my 3.73's installed today, and yup, as always you guys were right on the money. I think I almost had an org@$m driving with the new gears! It has to flat out be the best mod I have done so far. Best bang for the buck too!

Any one out there who hasn't got gears, go get em now! I got 3.73's because I plan on getting a super-charger later but anyone who is not, get the 4.10's. I can't imagine how fun they must be!!

Again, thanks everyone for recommending this great modification.

I can't wait to get my next mod, a new exhaust!

Glad you like em... I highly recommend the Magnaflow cat back... I had flowmasters, got rid of em for the magnaflow cat back. It's sounds so much better. If you want me to, I'll send you a video so you can hear my car. My ATI Procharger is in the mail. That was a good choice with the gears.

Thanks Matt, please do. I would love to hear your Magnaflows. I was speaking with the guy who put in my gears today (Eric @ XMP) and he was recommending I get the Magnapacks by Magnaflow because he knows I want a loud, mean, aggressive exhuast. What do you think? I have heard some ppl dont like the magnapacks at all and would only go with the quieter Magnaflows. Anyone with the packs or regular magnaflows please throw in your 2 cents.

I am definitely going to get Magnaflows X-pipe with Cats and then I am going to put on ceramic Hooker Long Tube headers. I just need to find some smog guy who will pass me visually.

If you want the best I would highly suggest Bassani midlength headers and mid pipe (H-pipe for Tq and X-pipe for HP). For the cat back I would go with the magnapacks if you want it really loud... I wanted to tone my exhaust down a bit from the flowmasters. And I did. I have a much better quality sound now and it flows MUCH better. PM me an email addy and I will send you the video.

I was going to go with the Bassani X-Pipe and the owner of XMP got me thinking otherwise. The guy at Xtreme Mustang Performance was actually a Bassani authorized dealer, but he suggested the Magnaflow X-pipe. He said that Bassani was the first to come out with it but Magnaflow just released theirs and it is a great deal. Supposedly the Cats are made from the best manufacturer and the pipe gets better numbers on the Dyno. I don't know how accurate that all is but he sounded pretty convincing. He swore by the hooker headers too. Those seem to be a good deal I think. I definitely want to go long tube though. The S/C will love them when I put it in.

Yeah, go with the Magnaflows or as you said for a MUCH louder sound and not as deep, go with the Packs. My buddies ALL have MAC cat-backs and they drone like hell, which is okay sometimes...but not all the darn time. Plus, the Magnaflows are stainless steel -- they'll last longer than the car, hehe. The Magnaflows are very deep and throaty, not to mention they just plain look good! GOOD LUCK!!

MAGNAFLOWS!!!! get a magnaflow (or magnapack which is louder) x-pipe and catback, theyre the ****, awesome sound and nice power increase.... forget the flows, in my opinion, they suck... and hey, Im installing 4.10's later on, can't wait to get my hands on those..

I"m just wonderin, what made you decided for 3.73s on a COBRA? Most cobras i've seen have 4.30s.. The discussion for the cobras is more of 4.30s or 4.10s?

Well, it was between the 4.10's and 3.73's. My car needs to very streetable, i do alot of highway driving, well a lot of driving period. I didnt want to change the rear too much, but i can see why most people debate b/t a 4.10 or 4.30. The thought did cross my mind. Plus, maybe sometime in the distant future there might be a supercharger in mind.
