Default Flowmaster Vs Magnaflow

Is anyone using a flowmaster delta flow 40 system with a 5 speed and like it? This is again for my 03 Mach 1. Some have asked why I didnt just keep it stock since it is a neat tone. Well it really is - but it is pretty hush hush. I have experimented a few things with mufflers on my previous GT - however having been told that the 32 valve motor actually is the reason my flowmaster delta flow 50's are not so resonant inside as they were on my GT. SO I have taken all of your advice and now need to puit something on. I dont want to get X pipes and all of that - just mufflers. I have heard people rave over magnaflow since they are straight through. I tried straight through Dynamax and they sound like a showroom new cadillac. Barely here it idle from BEHIND the car. At higher punch they dont give you have nice raspy flowmaster sound I love. So here is my dilema. I am not sure if there are any Mach 1 owners on this but does anyone have 40 deta flows with a 5 speed GT even and like them?? If so could you really drive for hours on the highway or would you go nuts and have ears bleeding.

Anyother suggestions would be great - if not I will stay with the 50's/ They give me the sound but in a milder version.

Thanks,

Hoop

I got 40 flows.....Truth is....The drone at 2000 rpms sucks...but as long as u aren't doing 2000 rpms all the time you'll like them. Everyone doesn't quit raving about how much they love the sound of my car.

My car after the gears, the 2K drone was really bad. The bad part is on the freeway anything after 2K still had a really bad drone because of the load on the motor. Everything is personal preference. My magnaflows are very quiet at idle, once I punch it, it's loud!!! Lots of people on here have heard my car. I have a video from the inside of me going 0-120. Everyone loved the sound. I don't think I got one bad comment.

That's the link to the thread with the video in it.

Magnaflows, otherwise I woulda stated the magnaflow magnapack catback system. Did you listen to it? How'd it sound? The best part about it is there is NO DRONE!!!!

I happen to love my flows. They do drone at 2k though, but you cant really beat that rumble!

Flows suck? lol...nah I don't think so. My flows only drone at 2 and that's it...anything above 2200 or so and it's smooth sailing!

I've got 40 series and no delta flow. Like i said earlier, I love 'em, they only drone at 2k and im only at 2k for short periods of time like when climbing rpm's or coming back down in rpm's. there isnt much cruising at 2k therefore there isnt too much drone.
