thoughts on this torque converter?

ey guys,
I'm doing it again: finding something on ebay, and then asking you guys what you think of it. this time its for a torque converter I found. I e-mailed the seller to ask him a couple questions, but I still rely on you guys for that feeling of security. here's the link, please tell me what you think

That converter is not for your tranny. It's for an AODE.

aren't I an aode? isn't that the 4r70w? I'm so confused......

I know the shift kits are different. I figure the converters would be too.

here's what the guy sent me in response to my questions. Do you think he's legit Mana, or is he just trying to make a sale?

"This will work on your GT Mustang. It's made by the Oregon Performance Transmission. The housing is an OEM unit, but the turbine and stator are aftermarket. I have installed these in Mustangs before and the customers have been happy. I've never personally owned a Mustang though that I could install one in. Hope this helps."

Well me 2002 Tranny was just rebuilt by a high performance AODE kit an I have a 4R70W. I think the shift kits are different because shifting is controlled by the computer on the 4R70W.

I have a simple rule, dont buy it unless you can drive to the shop in an hour or two

good rule indeed, but all the good deals seem to be on these internet sites.......bummer........ anyone ever heard of Oregon Performance Transmission?

Not sure how many of you buy and sell on eBay but this guy that is selling this converter has over 400 positive feedback with only 2 neutrals( both left by losers) let alone no negatives. That speaks for itself. I would trust someone with a feedback like that with quite a bit of money and I used to sell and buy alot and still do buy stuff from ebay under the same user name as here. I only have 180 positive feedbacks with one neutral and that was left by some fruitcake woman (you can't please everyone) and I have sold items over $1000. I don't think you have to worry about sending this guy a $150. Someone with 400 + feedbacks is a person that keeps his customers happy, not a person you have to worry about screwing you.
