gutted cats from stock mid-pipe. need help fast! 2003 Mustang GT

hi everyone, i own a 03 gt. a few days ago i decided to gut out my cats from the stock H pipe. it wasnt a very smart desicion on my part but wats done is done.
a few problems accrued after i bolted the h pipe back on.
1-there is a leak, one in the left pipe where i welded and a leak on the right gasket.
2- a check engine light keeps going on but doesnt give me any codes, it gives me N/A.
3- i feel like i lost some power as well.

i am planning on buying a performence mid pipe once i get enough money, but for now are there any suggestions on wat i can do to fix these problems.

P.S. i do have 2 high flow magna flow cats, but they are 3 inch pipes instead of my 2.25 inch pipe, if i cant find a solution to these problems i will try to put the high flow cats on, but i rather go catless.

u did loose some bottom end torque but you gained top end horsepower.. probably more around 5500 rpm.. as for the 3" high flo cat... you can cut little triangular notches out of the tips of it all the way around, squeeze the tip down to the 2 inch and weld it up... problem solved just to mess around with mine when i took my exhaust off i started it up jus to see what it sounded like... they sound so bad ass!!!

go to a muffler shop and they can weld it up for you, either take the cats out and put new pipe in or just fix ur weld.. you know you could have sold ur cats and mostlikely had enoughf to buy a new h or x pipe.. a muffler shop charged a buddy liek 20$ per side and he kept his cats and sold thiem for like 60$each

cams, and all basic bolt ons, arizen seats, cowl hood, and now my buckets got a hole in it (meaning im broke) but when i fix it ill have gears and some trany work

you lost back pressure so you lost some power

Your O2 sensors aft of the cats are now angry because they know the cats aren't working or in this case gone

With a leak, i'd say it might be best to just purchase a brand new takeoff midpipe and go back to square one or weld up the leak
