i would never run a power adder that cost anything under $4,000 to be honest. I want something that is safe and does what its supposed to in a reliable manner. Cheap and power shouldn't go together, not to sound like a jerk.
The "least expensive" initial cost of a power adder is N20 but thats still around $2k for a good setup

There is a mag article about this same sort of thing. Their conclusion, there are a lot of OBTW's. Cheap it is not.
It would make great build thread. Especially the part at the end where the "leasons learned" is inserted. If even one person learned something from it, it would be worth it.
Good luck. I am afraid to say it, but you may need it.

nope, not true at all. you can do a blower for under 1k (centri), a turbo is a lil excessive in price for only ~420rwhp on a 4.6l...plus with a 5.0l stroker you can have 450rwhp n/a...and run a 250 shot of nitrous
Then, nitrous...NEVER run it with out a tune alone...to run without a tune, add correct proportion of water/meth and you can run a 200 shot... do your research and have a sweet ride

With statements like that, I would say maybe you should do your research. Nothing in that statement I highlighted is correct.

Unless you find the deal of the century, you're not going to buy a blower, and have it running for under a grand. Hell, the tune is $350ish for a supercharged car alone. Fuel pump isn't cheap, neither are injectors.
$1800ish is about the cheapest I think (using used parts) that you can get a supercharger and get the car running correctly and tuned that I've ever seen. Typically it's around $2500 by the time all is said and done.
