Folks, it's very seldom that I get online to brag about something that is mine, however, I feel that in justice to the company
True Blue Performance that built my engine I must give them some credit where it's due.
Here is my story. Not my last setup but the one before it (98 engine, 99 heads, 99 cams) and the vortech had a
catastrophic failure on the first pass after getting tuned by Randy (who no longer works @ True Blue). The car made 377rwhp/375rwtq on the dyno.
Please don't get the wrong impression that I'm pointing fingers because racing is just that ----- racing and risky. On my first pass at the track after getting tuned, the picture that I'm showing is what happened at the 1000 foot mark. It appears the car was very lean, both head gaskets popped, coolant filled the cylinders and ........ you get the point.
True Blue has stepped forward (which I believe is incredible customer service) to work out a deal with me on my new engine. So, I'll let the new pictures now do the talking:
Here is a picture of the crank that has had considerable work done to it. It's a GT crank, however, like I said it's had considerable work done (oil holes radiused and a ton of parts sanded smooth. This is the kind of customer service and attention to detail that I think is incredible.)
Here is a picture of the Manley Rods and CP Piston as well as the ring.
Another picture of the Manley Rod and CP Piston Picture of the shortblock aren't those pistons beautiful?
Here is a great picture of the block and crank. As you can see, the crank has had considerable work done.

Big thanks to Dan, Lori, Chris, and of course Mark (the engine building machine!!!) at True Blue Performance. Folks that believe True Blue is
OUT OF BUSINESS are mistaken. No True Blue is NOT out of business I'm here to tell you. They are very much
alive and they are still demonstrating that customer service is and will always be #1 priority.
With that said, I hope to post up some dyno #'s and also let you know my impressions of my True Blue forged modular shortblock for the folks that are interested.
Why am I happy with True Blue?
1. They kept me informed every single bit of the way. Not only that, they sent me pictures of the progress as it was happening ---can't ask for much more then that, right?
2. Every single question I had was answered quickly and also explained in good detail. I asked a ton of questions believe me.
3. Mark (the engine builder) was very patient with me and helped me selecting my specific components specific to my setup which I very much appreciate.
4. They helped me load the engine into my truck and also Lori took care of patching me up since I got a nice gash in my hand and started bleeding all over the place

Thanks Lori!!!!
Again, it's very seldom that I post up something VERY specific to any given company. However, I feel it's necessary to give credit where it's due and this is one of those cases.
I'm hoping to have the new engine put together in the next few weeks and also hope to have some new #'s posted up here along with tons of pictures.
Thank you True Blue Performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also a big thanks to Dave (droptop) for driving down there with me!!! Thanks Dave!!!!
Thanks,
Tim
