hey robayers, i am up the road from you, i live in franklin, well middletown, but work in springdale...yes i have a number a guy i work went to and had his gears installed, he had all the parts but the installation cost 250 and he hasnt had any problems, he said this place specializes in mustangs, ill get the number and give it to you, i am pretty sure its in cinci, i was gonna go there when i was gonna get gears but i decided to wait on gears for a while

I finally got my gears installed, damn you guys were right. Of all the stuff i have put on, these gears were the bang for the buck difference. The place you had me call, mbhmustang1998, did a great job and definitly know everything about any year Mustang, there was a parking lot full of them. And they only charged me $200.00 bucks to install. One thing they didnt do though was fix my speedo, so my car is kinda sitting around until i get it calibrated right, so im not adding extra miles on it, that im not actually driving.
would it be cheaper i wonder to just have someone calibrate it or just order the 70 dollar speedometer calibrater out of the MM&FF Magazine?

sweet well thats where i will be going in the future, so did u have all the parts incuding oil and shims and stuff? he told me that frpp gears had the shims and stuff allready. mine is just a speedo gear so thats cool, well glad i could help ya and enjoy them

Well when i set up the appointment, he said just bring the gears and we will install for 200, well i wanted new full synthetic oil put back in the rearend, so i bought 2 quarts of that and gave to them along with the gears. They said they actually could of just re-used the gear oil that they were gonna drain. But i wanted no part of that. even though the car does only have 3k miles on it
but they still charged me 200 bucks for the install. even after buying the $35.00 worth of gear oil lol. Bah.
Oh well. Its a mom and pop garage. but they know alot about Stangs. ive heard they have built some really fast ones over the years. And Custom painted alot also. The name is Gould's or something like that.
i will more than likely be taking the car to them if i need work done on my car. The Son and his Pop was real nice guys, and seemed to like having a new face around, cuz he would of talked my head off, if i wasnt in a hurry to leave the shop lol.

yes and MD Motorsports. I wasnt aware of them back when i posted that but now i am and if i ever get to ever get gears finally, thats where i am going! They said 250 for install.

Pauls did mine about 5 years ago. They do killer work. I payed about 200 to have them installed. A friend of mine is related to the owners of Goulds. Heard they are pretty good.
Anyone in Cincinnati Area have gears installed?
