K&N FIPK ALL THE WAY! you CANT go wrong with K&N this is one of my favorite mod i open up the hood and people see the K&N logo on the intake and i just feel 27% more bad ass instantly buy the K&N
The S&B filter quality blows awaay K&N so get what you want, throw qaway th M&N & Get an S&B filter or just get a JLT as they use S&B. The 1 JLT uses. DONE!
i like the bbk cai it fit perfectly, and has a sharp chrome look to it. I like it because it fits under the wheel well and u can hear it sucking in the air when u accelerate or just give it gas. Its fairly easy to install its just a pain in the a** to get the filter on cause its kinda tight under there. but thats not a big problem at all i like bbk...

i was very set on getting the JLT cai but im haveing second thoughts cause of how low in hangs in the fender and i would drive the car in the rain so i was wondering anyone with a JLT kit how do you like it ?
C & L offers a black plastic "Racer" version CAI that requires a tune and the Aluminum "Street Legal" version that can be used with or without a tune.
Are there any downsides to using the black plastic "Racer" version in terms of having to pass California Smog checks or general wear and tear of the CAI?
I couldn't get an answers to my direct question so I put on the Black Plastic "Racer" version with a 91 Predator tune.
Wow!
It feels like an honest 20 rear wheel horse power addition which in a small car is quite noticeable. The big improvement is in torque and throttle response. Throttle response is much quicker and stronger than before in the lower RPM's. It does not feel like the same car at any RPM level. Before I bought the Mustang I drove a '08 standard stick shift Corvette as a comparison. This change brought it much closer to the Corvette performance at about 1/3rd the price. It went from being willing to romp to pulling at the bit to run!
I can imagine what these cars run like with a blower on them.
Buy a 53 dollar k&n air filter from auto zone. Take off that wackass ram air housing and filter. Screw on the k&n filter(custom ****) to were the filter would originally sit and be ready for a happy surprise! No need for a $200+ air intake when you can get the same results using this.

+2; I installed the BBK CAI in my vert, I like it.
