You should definately look into a jlt intake i just bought one under recommendation of the mustang shop and its unreal, first of all it s a true four inch intake, it also relocates your maf meter further from the throttle body for a more accurate reading. Also they will paint to match your color code for and extra fee...
check it out
I went with the Airaid CAI from American Muscle.com. Its a really good CAI at first it was only made for 05-09 GT mustangs but they finally make it for the 99-04 GTs. The reason I bought it is because if you look on Airaid.com they have Dyno proven results of their intake making power and I believe it because there not absurd number like 20+ HP and 30+ Torque lol. The Dyno results for our cars were 11HP and 10Torque now yes I know this is a stretch still but I have DEFENITELY felt the the difference!

Why on earth would you think a dual CAI is needed unless you have a twin turbo setup?

i have the K&N CAI and absolutely love it. I feel like i got my money worth when i got it. That was my first mod along with the roush side exit exhaust and hypertech computer reprogrammer.
I wanted to ask a question? The shop where I take my car to stated to get a cold air intake and to set it up coming from the fender well for more mass air flow. They also recommened a high flow upper Plenum and a high performance throttle body, he stated this would help the car breath better and get it a better throttle response with a few gains of hp? Is this correct?
Yep, a good upper plenum and 70 or 75mm throttle body will help throttle response immensely.

With a JLT CAI and 75mm TB andP plenum, the sound of air being sucked into your motor is most awesome, as is the throttle response.
accufab or C&L on the plenum are great choices, and accufab makes great throttle bodies to.

Mine came with the C&L intake kit. I like it but ive never had different. Trying to see if theyre worth it, hehe. Ive heard lots about K&N!
Bf's 5.4 F150 loves it anyways (you can really feel a difference and hear it!)

You're likely to get more than "a few" gains of horsepower... and you're likely to hand over more than "a few" dollars to your shop if you don't do it yourself. These mods are not difficult (even the throttle intake) and there are lots of great sites (including allfordmustangs) that can help the DIY'er.
The really great thing is that you don't have to do all those mods at once.

dude i say steeda all the way, they work with ford directly on most products they make. i have BBK and it works just fine. not concerned with the extra 4 HP steeda probably offers.
