Good stuff... I read it. Just for everyone else, all the information about heat absorption is at the bottom of the page.
That is some good info Bad. I think it should also be linked to the Ram Air Myth thread...if it isnt already.
good call, can we get a mod to post it in the ram air thread, or a "sticky"

Man I hate to beat a dead horse. I cruised through all the posts on the CAI and did not see any posts on the little glitch Im experiencing.Installed new accufab plenum and 75mm TB,MAC cai with 85mm mas.on 2004 4.6 GT. 2 weeks later computer throws a fuel lean code,Mac is telling me that the MAS is calibrated for the 19lb injectors. Will 24lb injectors set me straight?
not sure, but taking it and having it tuned would probably fix it. That's kinda a lil bit of cash though. No idea.

I got a K&N filter and removed my silencer (for my first mod). About 6 months later my perrormance bogged down a little, so i took off the filter and banged it on my hand a few times. Probably a 1/2 cup of bugs and dirt came out of the grooves. It runs like new now.

There is a cleaning kit to clean it. K&N #99-5000... That comes with the filter cleaner and the oil... Usually runs about ten bucks. Just DON'T OVER OIL THE FILTER!!!!

You have 21 lb injectors. You need to either have your car tuned, or get the right MAF. You throw a lean code because the MAF computer is running off a 19 lb fuel map while your MAF is set for 21 lb injectors. So your car is reading lean out of range. If you have anymore questions, let me know.
Some posts have suggested the MAC CAI but from experience selling used parts in the past, I would stay away from them. I don't know why they do this, but almost evey used MAC CAI I got in had a lot of corrosion and oxidation on the inside, but not visible on the outside. It probably won't show up for a year or two. If you've got an older MAC, take it off the car and look inside. The BBK 's didn't seem to corrode like that. I'm not recommending any brand but I thought I would pass the info along.
punisher, what other used parts do you have available? send me a pm if ya want.

Keep in mind that if you put one on you should really dyno it to see if its lean. BY the way you real power is in the timming and a/f. I have learned by using the SCT pro racer package that tuning the MAF is the most crucial part to any tuned mustang.
