Thumbs down Another speculation why my car may be running crappy

Do you think my fuel filter or anything like that may be bad? I am getting 200miles per tank in the city and 230 on the highway.

WHat could some other things be that would cause mny car to run like crap?
It is just sluggish.

It could be a number of things.. a tune up is definitely recommended if you cant remember the last time it was changed.

200 to the tank, huh? What is your rearend gear ratio. I have 2:73's and do half and half city and highway driving and get 270 to the tank. On a road trip this summer I got 330 to the tank!

my gears are all stock. I know my slipping clutch may be part of this poor gas mileage

Take of your mass air meter and on the back there will be this little plate with tamper proof torx bolts. go to autozone and buy tamper torx bits or maybe you have them since you took off your horse emblem anyway buy some eletrical spray cleaner or brake cleaner and spray delicatly you wire sensors inside.

I am going outside to do this right now. Thank you.
All the symtoms are leading to this direction.

Well, i went out and sprayed a Qtip with some brake parts cleaner and did this. I think i notice SOME difference. But not much. It may just be in my head too.

dont use a qtip spray soak that tunnel, it will dry quickly. just dont hold the spray nozzle to close. the brake cleaner will degrease the whole tunnel. It will clean it much better than a qtip. also you could have messed up those little delicate wires with that big(incomparison) cotton qtip. try again. others have stated that it really helped thier car but like i said, mine really was that dirty so i could not tell a difference. Gtraptor said the cause was from people applying to much KN oil to thier filters.
i have a problem typing the word thier...I mean "their"
