I am thinking about getting a shift kit and a tranny cooler and running synthetic. Now i hear this actually relieves stress on the tranny and promotes a longer life or is this a myth? and if so why does it help the tranny live longer? how much of an et would this drop, couple tenths?

A tranny cooler will help extend the life of your transmission. Automatic transmissions love cool fluid. I highly recommend it. I don't believe it's going to effect performance as far as dropping your ET though.
I know that mana, i guess u were drunk and didt see the shift kit part!!! lol i know not just the cooler but i would think a tranny that shifts faster would least pick up a tenth

get a shift kit and cooler. The cooler will definetly extend the life of the tranny, especially if you are gonna put added stress on the tranny through increased shift pressure and everything. I would guess probably at least .2 off your et since it will shift alot more efficiently.
I am gonna go with the PA street/strip valve body and cooler. I thought this put less strain on the tranny, since there is less slipage of the clutches..i wont do it if its gonna put more wear and tear. It appealed to me because of the performance and longer lasting.
