Is about time to change spark plugs and wires in the old stang. Just wondering if anyone reccommended upgrading to better that factory plugs or wires (i.e. steeda wires, etc.) Or shoud i save some money and just get the factory replacement? Theres a headswap coming in the spring and i know that it uses different plugs etc. Any of your ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I really dont think it matters as long as they are within specs resistance wise. I replaced my stockers at 110000 miles with FRPP wires so I could keep the blue color and they were only 76 bucks. Get with randy stinchcomb at 410-655-2000 parts ext 404. He will get ya a good price and excellent customer service. As for the headswap plugs use AWSF-22C's or autolite 103's they are both one heat range colder than stock and work great plus they are cheap.
At 80,000 miles I changed my plugs, wires, and coils. I went with Bosch platinum +4 plugs, Accel 300+ wires, and Accel coil packs. I felt no gain at all, it just ran a little smoother. So if you plan on a head swap, just throw in some inexpensive stock plugs.
unless your planning to upgrade some electrical components like getting an MSD or something along those lines i wouldnt bother with the higher spec wires, and the only thing platinum plugs will do for you is basically last longer. id stick with the autolites and save some money.

Probably too late, but when I had a Jeep CJ-7, I got the Jacobs Electronics really thick low resistance wires. The instructions tell you to increase the gap in your plugs since you will be getting more current with the better wires. Factory specs were like 0.040. Jacobs Electronics recommended something like 0.060. Way wider than spec! But with the stronger current and a larger gap, I had a hotter spark and better combustion. My Jeep ran a lot better. It might not work for everyone but it did for me.
