I would check the gas cap right off the bat because it's simple and very easily can screw up the EVAP system.

Default Coolant Indicator

Hi guys,

I own a '00 GT. Changed the coolant yesterday, reservoir is filled to the max line indicator. The coolant indicator on the dash lit up. I turned off the car and restarted it to reset. Coolant indicator is not there anymore. Today, coolant indicator is lit again. Reservoir indicator is still filled on the max line. What gives?

The thermostat installed is the original from the factory. Could this have worn out?
Air pocket in between the radiator hose and engine?

Any help is truly appreciated.

Thank you. :thumbsup

Maybe the float in the coolant tank is sticking... I've heard of that happening before. Give it a glance :thumbup

gnr, try running the car with the cap off in your driveway for a while, at least long enough for the t-stat to open up, and watch for any air bubbles to come to the top. If that doesn't help then check and see if it's throwing any codes when the coolant light is lit and see what it says.
