Question limited slip question

i got caught driving in the snow and every time i released the clutch my right tire would spin and the front end would make a hardleft drift.i thought the limited slip would kick in and not be spinning sideways.if the left wheel was spinning i sure could not tell it.i had to get pushed out of the road to unblock traffic.so embarrsing.i almost wish i had a 4 wheel drive truck that day.stangs sure hate the snow.

I'm confused here....if your right tire was spinning wouldn't you turn right, into the spin. When you fishtail the tire on the inside spins more. Naturally because of the rotation of the engine you should fishtail to the right. Maybe your rear end is screwed up. On dry pavement what happens when you burnout? Do both tires spin equally? Anyways to help you out, try keeping as a full tank and putting 150 pounds or so in the trunk.

i was trying to get up a little hill and it might have been on a little incline slope for me to slide the wrong way.i just thought with both wheels supposed to be spinning i would have stayed more straight in the road.during a burnout i stay pretty straight.should i cut the traction off next time to put more throttle in it?

My Mustang does exactly the same thing and its only a V6. I installed a trac-loc diff a few years back and what a difference, no longer sit and spin on wet or snowy pavement. I drove a SC T-bird with snow on the road and it did the same thing, I let off the gas a little bit and it would straighten out. If you put on narrower tires the car will actually get better traction on snowy roads.
