Which short shifter, please every opinion counts to me
I have a 2004 GT 5spd, and wanted to swap out the factory shifter handle to a shorter one, I dont want to get a Full short shifter kit just yet I only have a 1k miles(and i did change my oil a few days ago). I had a 95 and swapped out the handle to a really short one and loved it. here are the link to the four shifter handles i am considering of getting, the steeda stout steel handle looks the best to me, price doesnt matter
BTW they all supposedly fit stock shifters
Technically thinking wouldn't the stout steel handle made by steeda give me the shortest throw, thats what im looking for, i dont really Need all that adjustable stuff, i am really lost at which i should get
yo bro i have the steeda tri ax on my car its the **** youll love it check it out how it looks i have a picture of the interior of my car and you can check it out its slammin. so smooth but go the extra mile bro and get the whole setup 150$ big deal it aint gonna hurt the car if anything it will help it
theres no pro 5.0 on that list. i recommend that. very tight precise shifts, never a missed gear. http://pro50shifters.meridian1.net/default.asp?S=503&A=E&PKV=P1050|0

nah never tried the ebay ones. something like a new shifter needs to be nice. buy a cheap one and you might just screw up your tranny or clutch. i have the pro 50 and dont get me wrong its sweet. but i've been looking at that new mgw shifter. they claim the shortest shifts on the market and the quietest alla round shifter. my pro 50 has a small vibration in 5th on the highway. plus you can switch those little hadles and swivel it to wherever you want it.

Dunno, I've had really good luck in the past with generic ebay stuff when it comes to the simple little stuff like this... not like it takes a rocket scientist to move the pivot point of a shifter... ah well, maybe I'll be the guinea pig.

I would go with the MGW I think it is shifter. I've heard nothing but praise for that one. I have the Steeda-Tri Ax and i like it...but if i had the money i would go with the MGW just to see what's so great about it. Even people that have had the Steeda Tri-Ax praise the MGW. Go with that one.
