Default fuel pump location

I've done a a search and came up with nothing useful,I would like to know the location of the fuel pump on a 96 mustang 4.6 and if I need any special tools to change it,I have the tools that disconect the fuel lines from the filter I would be thankful for any help

it's in the fuel tank...your going to have to drop the fuel tank...fun stuff done it before. may take you about 30min-1hr

Ya I had to do that when I put on my blower. It's not too bad. You need to unbolt the filler neck from the body, unbolt the tank straps, undo the connector to the tank and the sender, then undo like 8-12 bolts on the top of the tank. After that you can pull the pump out... I'm not sure if your year is the same as mine, but I my fuel pump was located inside a "bucket." Good luck with it If you need anything, just let us know.
