Hey guys, I'm in the market for some new tires. My current tire size is 245/45ZR17. I want to stay with that size because i think if i go any larger the tires will start to rub due to my lowered suspension. With that in mind, does anyone have a preference as far as tires? I dont drive this car alot....maybe 100-150 miles a month. (Its kinda my play car now). So i want some freakin' sticky a$$ grip the road black track leavin' tires if you catch my drift. My price range is 150-200 bones per tire. Any ideas?

Tire Rack has Sumitomo HTR Z II's in that size for $95 per tire; BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDW's for$151 - you should be comparing tire specs there. The above are both Ultra High Perf. Summer.

Hey Tires.com they have some good prices however you will have to get them mounted
I bought some eLLcheapo's a while back and they are doing great better than the tires I had on the car at first(GoodYear HP's)
They are Wynstar Exocet I know really nothing about them other than they are cheap (cost) 76.00 a peice cheap they have done great I give them hell very good in the rain great on the dry a little more roll than my Goodyears but barley noticable
GOOD LUCK
I'm really happy with my 275/40/17 Fuzion ZRI. :thumbsup Firestone makes them, read the reviews and specs on tire rack.com

the KDW's are a good sticky tire. I like my Yokohama Avid's. They have better dry traction than the OEM Good Year's. They have better wet traction too. I ran Kumho Ecsta's on my '03, they were pretty grippy and affordable also. I think I paid $500 for all 4 mounted and balanced.

I go the KDW G Force tires from BF Goodrich the best tires around and not that expensive, they last a long time, they are quiet. The grip is amasing, highly recommended.

What about Goodyear Eagle F1's...? I think that is what I am going to get for mine. I'm not sure how long they will last though since I don't know how to read the tread wear numbers.

--- if go to www.tirerack.com and compare the F1's w/the Goodrich T/A KDW you'll see the KDW has superior dry/wet traction and other specs for considerably less money.

Sorry for the size...but I do not understand what you mean meatball. The Goodyear Eagle F1's seem to beat the T/A KD's in just about every category. Is there something I am missing?
