Default 2003 mustang gt no headlights or highbeams.

Hey there,
Well the other night I was driving and went into a store and came out and when I started my car and turned on the lights I noticed they didnt come on with the switch so I then tried using my high beams and they didnt work either(the high beam indicator light doesnt come on either). So I ended up driving home just using my foglights. When I got home I checked the fueses and all were fine. I tested for power and I have power on the 30 amp fuse in the engine compartment for the headlights but no power on the 10 amp fuses in slots 4 and 10 under the dash as well as no power to the high beam fuse. all other lights such as foglights blinkers and tailights work.. Any clue on what it could be?

Its been a while but I believe those cars used a relay to send power to the headlights. It should be marked in your power box and is about a 1 inch square relay. Pull out and push in. Cheap and easy to fix. Good luck!

In the battery junction box fuse #2 30 amp. This feeds both high and low beams.
In the central junction box fuse #4 feeds the right low beam and fuse #10 feeds the left. #38 feeds the high beams.

I would check the 30 amp main fuse #2.

It sounds like the multifunction switch is bad. You can check and see if the fog lights go out when you switch the multifunction switch to bright or pass.

Okay so I did the test and the fog lights do not go out when I turn the multifunction switch on.. Whats that mean? They should go out?
Sorry for the slow response.

take the SJB loose and find wire from 30 amp supply and ck for power if ok it is probably an SJB issue, ck wiring diagrams and make sure you ck correct wire at SJB input. Also make sure the light switch input to SJB shows good. Don't have diagram in front of me, but I have seen this issue several times. Check to make sure you don't have water intrusion. Also if you have aftermarket lamps be sure they don't exceed the wattage recommended by Ford. Some of these modules need to be programmed when replaced, ck the manual for aplicable programming.

Well I solved it.. A connector from the multifunction switch came apart in the steering column.

Good Job! Glad to help.
If the fog lights go out then you are getting voltage though the multifunction switch. If not then no voltage though the switch.
