Default Steering Rack Problem

Hello.. Ive had my 01 gt for roughly a year now.. Aside from the steering problems i've had with it i absolutley love the car.. Here's the issue im having

About 5 months into owning the car i noticed a leak looked underneath and noticed the rack was leaking.. they replaced it.. 2 months later it started to leak again.. they replaced it again.. Next day it leaked again replaced yet again.. about 2 months later it leaked again.. they replaced it again.. Now while it hasn't leaked again (yet) It seems my steering is making a bit of noise when rocking the wheel back and forth (There was a new shaft installed as well) I had a friend rock the wheel back and forth and while i couldnt really get close enough to determine where its coming from it seems like its coming from the rack itself.. When rocking the wheel the rack moves approx 3/4 of an inch in each direction.. I checked the two mounting bolts and they are tight as can be.. The mounting bushings look a bit worn.. I was told to get a set of new bushings similiar to this http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=878&prmenbr=361 But was told that putting urithane bushings in could significantly improve handling and cornering but could also make squeeking noises.. Anyone have any experience in this that could shed some light on this for me?

Thats some bad luck with steering racks !!

If theres noise, could be an inner tierod end, could have play or is worn (could be one of the originals even if they replaced the rack, they might have reused the old inner rods).

About the bushings, install the urethane ones, had mine for long time, never squeeked.
