Default sport springs

It's time to stiffen up and lower down. I'm planning on going with Kenny Brown tower braces and frame connectors. I am undecided about which springs to get. I am wanting to lower it 2" and still be streetable, this is basically a daily driver. About 80 mi. a day highway. I have saw a kit from Dropzone on the net, it looks pretty cool. I have never heard of them before though, has anyone ever used them or something similar? I am not sure how much it matters from one brand to the next, all reveiws that I've read have been positve regardless of brand. Any advise would be apprieciated, either one to go with or stay away from. thanks

Kenny Brown produces some quality
suspension equitment and will help stiffen up some useing the strut tower brace and
subframe connectors. Also the last thing you want to do is go cheap on springs. The
Dropzone springs are cheap aftermarket springs that aren't we'll known.Did you see
the Dropzone springs on Ebay?If you are looking for a full 2" drop all around the Eibach
Sportlines are the springs for you because they will not only drop your mustang 2" but,
they are great quality springs that alot of people use and are we'll known. The Eibach
Sportlines can be found at www.dallasmustang.com .Also their is more to it than just putting springs on your car. With your new springs you will need new spring isolators. Also when lowing past 1.5" you will need caster camber plates so,the
alignment is correct, your struts and shocks don't wear out faster, and so your tires
wear in the correct pattern.Since your stock struts and shocks are fairly new you
should be fine with them for about a year and than I would recommend replacing them.
Something that people tend to forget about is an alignment after the springs settle.
The springs will more than likely settle in one month after the springs install.Have a
good reputable shop install them for you."DON'T FORGET TO GET AN ALIGNMENT".

dont be scared to do it yourself its basically a breeze if you have the right tools, everyone says you have to get a spring compressor tool (wrong) yoiu dont need it youll be there for hours trying to get them out just use your head a little bit. with the right position of the jack with your car on stands of course and unbolt a few bolts. youll need a pry bar too. actually you better bring it somewhere goodluck

Good advice man! hahaha

I have the Eibach Pro-Kit for mine. It lowers it about 1 1/2" and there is no need for all the camber plates and stuff. So you should just go with that

Default Check out Steeda

There's a lot of controversey over how low to go on our cars. Steeda is one of the more conservative companies - their web site (steeda.com, I think) contains a wealth of information on this subject. Their recommendation for street cars is no more than 1 1/2", with daily drivers at 1 to 1 1/4". If you must go lower (and many do), keep an eye on your tie rods, etc., and look out for bumpsteer (Steed sells a patented bumpsteer kit which I have on my car with their cc plates - it works great). As far as springs are concerned, I like the SportLite springs Steeda sells, that drop about 20# from your running weight and give good results (lower the car about 1 1/4").

If you check out other sites (maximum motorsports and eibach, for example) you'll see varying takes on the "how low?" question, and actual disagreement concerning bumpsteer, for example.

Since I was experiencing bumpsteer with my stock 2002 gt convertible, I tend to support the Steeda stance (that bumpsteer is a problem needing addressing on lowered late model mustangs) vs the Maximum Motorsport position that the front end will adapt to most lowering operations.

Good luck - there's no doubt the car will look tons better lower, by the by!

The drop from the H&R Supersports and the Eibach Sportlines
are about the same from 1.8-2.0 inches. Also both companys
produce great quality springs that are we'll known. When looking at
caster chamber plates the Steeda and Maximum Motorsport seem
to be two of the best.Lowering your car is a matter of perference.
