Magnaflow, Stainless Steel or not?

I just got my Magnaflow catback exhaust system and it is supposed to be stainless steel but I took a magnet to it and it sticks to every part of this exhaust. I strip scrap metal for extra cash and I know that a magnet wont stick to stainless steel. Is it that it has very low properties of stainless in it or what. If somebody has some insight and can fill me in I would appreciate it. I thought I was getting a system that wouldnt rust as easy as the OEM exhaust.

It's a stainless steel exhaust system, it's just not polished.

A magnet WILL stick to stainless steel. It all depends on the type of stainless used. Yes the magnaflow exhaust will last much longer than the stock or an aluminized system.
The reason the magnet sticks is because the stainless has some Iron in it. I dont believe you can get a purely stainless exhaust.
