Default Spark plug wire questions.

What is a good set of spark plug wires for a 96 GT?

Ones that reach all 8 plugs!

Seriously, unless you're running a pretty hot setup, you probably don't need a $150 set of high-performance wires. I'd stick with Ford wires, or maybe Accel or Bosch.

All that assumes that he's running a stock engine, with basically stock plugs.

I have Ford Racing 8mm on mine and they seem to work great. And if memory serves me correctly they were less than $100.

I have the ford racing wires and they were 76 bucks. MSD makes the frpp wires and I have no complaints other than the stock plastic clips wont work. The steeda wires are identical to the frpp wires but instead of ford racing printed on them they say steeda and cost more.

I'VE GOT THE TAYLOR 409 PRO RACE 10.5MM WIRES ON MY STOCK ENGINE. THEY WORK GREAT, BUT THEY WERE ON THE CAR WHEN I BOUGHT IT, AND I THINK THEIR KINDA EXPENSIVE TOO. THESE ARE HUGE WIRES, AND ARE PROBABLY A BIT OVERBOARD FOR STOCK. SO GO WITH FORD RACING OR ACCEL 8MM OR 8.8MM AND SAVE SOME $$$

Yes thats funny you bring up Taylor spark plug wires because I have looked
at the Taylor pro series and I think I will be going with the Taylor Pro
series 8mm spark plug wires.I heard great comments about Taylor products
and will more than likely get them at Brothers Performance for 79.99 witch
seems like a great deal.Good info on the Steeda plug wires Qwkstang I
was wondering how made them thanks.

THE TAYLOR WIRES ARE AWESOME, I JUST THINK THE 10.5mm PRO RACE WIRES I'VE GOT ARE JUST A LITTLE OVERBOARD FOR MY STOCK ENGINE, BUT IT STILL RUNS GOOD ANYWAY.

Hey All I have a question along these lines. My bro said that one of the 4.6's had an issue with the plug breaking off in the block? I recently bought my Mustang and want to swap the wires/plugs. The Job looks pretty easy any tips and or suggestions?

just dont tighten the plugs too hard into the block and ur good DanM.... they sit inside a sleeve that if u tighten too much will snap off... so only put a small amount of torque on them and u will be good... WORST CASE SCENARIO lets say your plug rattles loose from not tightening it enough... sooooo now you need a new spark plug not a new motor hmmmmm interesting theory huh hahahahahah

I went with the Ford Racing #397-M-12259-R462. 9MM everything fit and connected well. And I noticed a big improvement in performance. And under $100.
