the "tunable" cold air intake anyone every heard of it? made by demolt or something like that, i saw it online earlier and then saw it on ebay brand new for only 150$ what do u guys thinK
CAI's are a waste of money on are cars.Your better off getting a
drop in K/N air filter at your local auto parts store. Also a CAI or
X pipe will probaly void your warranty. The chose is yours though.

Densechargers are good. I went with the K&N FIPK, which is about $50 more. Some will argue that FIPK sucks hot air out of the engine bay and the Densecharger sucks cold air from the fender well, and others will argue that the extra bend in the Densecharger makes the FIPK better. Both are good.

CAI's aren't a complete waste of money, just don't buy one expecting to get HUGE improvements if that's the only airflow mod you have. Also, they don't void the warranty. Exhaust mods will void the warranty on the exhaust, but not the entire car.

The DeMolet/Tunable Induction products are good quality, http://www.demolet.com/ and will return some HP. I feel you might want to save that money for some gears first.

Aftermarket parts do not void your warranty. I'm too lazy to look up the law, but it is posted on here and a few other sites. If they can prove something went wrong as a direct result of the after market part, that particular item would not be warrantied but the rest of the warranty would remain.
I got unlazy, its called the MAGNUSON-MOSS Act.

Oh yes they do.
And that act simply does not get you anywhere.
As for that CAI the only power you will get will be from it skewing the A/F ratio to the lean side wich tricks the computer into running on a lower load scale which adds timing.
If you want to do that do it the right way and get a programmer or tune.

.
Very true. On a Speed Density system though. Ford hasn't used a SD system on a Mustang since 1987. The MAF can compensate for differences in airflow. Just by going to a CAI, you won't ever peg a stock MAF.

Where did I say peg the maf?
That kit has a bend that goes into the fender. That bend creates turbulence infront of the sampling tube in the maf therefore not allowing it to accurately measure airflow. The sampling tube sees a reduced airflow and the maf output lowers causing load to be calculated at a different percentage which reduces the fueling and advances the timing.
The lower the load in the EEC-V the higher the spark advance and fuel is cut back.
Ever feel like a whole lot of important stuff was said but it all went over your head. Slightly daze and always confused. I knew coming to the tech forum would eventually confuse me LOL :thumbsup
