Default Increase power question

Hey guys!

I drive a 94 v6 auto - and it's going on me slowly and I was thinking of trying to save up some money for an 05 GT but since dealers are not lowering their prices as fast as my car is going I might have to get a 2004 GT - which I can find going for like 22 k - which would be very excellent, new. The question is. How would you get that 260 hp on a GT up near 300?

Any information would be great!

Thanks!

On another note what are the big mechanical difference between the 05 and 04 - is it really that much better?

Several different ways.........

You should start with a 75mm TB, K&N filter charger kit (way better and cheaper than a Cold-Air-intake setup), & a bigger MaF (Mass air flow sensor).............

Best and biggest gains is a Supercharger or Turbo....Expensive!

Ported heads, PI intake, Headers, 80-95mm MaF, 75mm TB, X-Pipe. will definatly get you there

Also Bigger injectors.
Start with the little stuff and the heads and go from there..or the pipes?

I am sure there are other ways to get gains also..........

My car is the cheaper beater car lol

My car isn't really expensive or dapening my costs - it's just the clear coat is going, the bearings are going, the electrical is going - it will survive but not ery comfortably.

You can get an '04 GT cheaper, especially if it is used. My old one, 10 months ago, cost me 16,700 with 4K miles on it. Take it to the track, learn to drive it. Once you can make the car run at least a 14.2 stock, then mod - gears, exhaust, maybe SCT or Predator tuner, and DOT drag radials. At the very least, you should be able to match the 13.6 that a good driver can run in an '05 GT, I would think that 13.5s or better would be very possible.
