Ok, I'm at a total loss on this one. I can usually figure out what a noise is. This time I have to admit I'm beat.

Under normal loads driving down the road there is no different sounds than the exhaust. I have a catted UPR x-pipe and borla stingers. Which this system seems to send vibrations throught the passenger compartment. But that isn't what is bothering me right now. What concerns me is when traveling down the highway next to a concrete barrier the car sounds great... well until I go to pass someone utilizing WOT. Now I start to here a popping sound that can not be mistaken for detonation. Its more like exhaust popping. I've had my a/f checked and at wot it runs a flat 12.5. I've also had the exhaust system checked for leaks. all is good there too.

Does anyone else experience this in the past or currently going through this.
Would clutch chatter sound like this. I already know the throwout bearing makes noise every once in a while and is on it's way out. besides there is also a tsb out for the t/o bearings in the stangs.

I also hear a whistle or high pitch sound that will fluctuate with the throttle. I haven't pin pointed that one either. This one sounds like a vacumn leak. I just need to track it down. I've checked around the K&N but it's not from that area.

With all these strange sounds I'm about to start wearing ear muffs or I'll need to visit one of those dr's with a couch and keeps mentioning Sigmond Froyd.

Might be a bad CAT.

Some aftermarket Cat converters are not that great.

At idle spray carb cleaner around the intake and vacuum hoses to check for vacuum leaks, if it is happening at wide open the twist of the motor may be opening a crack in the vacuum lines, make sure to inspect and feel each hose for cracks or being mushy
