I have a 2002 mustang. It's very sweet but i'm not really into the auto transmission. Only problem was that it was impossible to find a GT convertible with a manual trans with less than 40k miles on it that's close to the area where I live. It's not like it's a big deal and I can certainly live with it, but i'm just curious; I talked to a guy at my work and he said there are cars that can be converted from an automatic to a manual trans and I was wondering if that can be done with my mustang. If anyone has any info, that would be awsome. Thanks.

I also saw a nice 6 spd manual cobra trans for $2500 new from a catalog and thats what sparked my interest. Freakin awsome.

Some careful research on your goal will be helpful. Where do you live?

I'm still having problems finding good sites/threads about this. Does anyone know any shops that sell parts and make these types of swaps ? I keep looking all over other sites/threads but none talk about converting an automatic transmission to a manual. They're all about swapping trannys, but it's to another manual or another auto transmission.
