Default 97 Cobra to 2001 Cobra engine swap...

Just ordered a new '01 DOHC Engine from Bishop Engine in Texas, am putting it in a '97 convertible. I can imagine, there'll be different sensor locations & such, do I need to worry about the fuel line compatibility or anything else in terms of functionality? Hell, will it fit under the '97 stock hood with the intake bulge, or will the old intake have to go on the new engine for clearance?

Sorry DOHC 281, can't help you with those questions, but what did you pay for the motor?

well the new motor is a returnless style fuel system.. there is a $3500 kit to make it returning... but your car should already have it. As far as the deck heighth, i think on that one you're going to have to measure it.. or call ford and ask if the same mounts, bodystyle, etc were used and then ask if those fake scoop hoods are functional for clearance..
the one thing , now that i think about it, you will need to use the 01 computer to compensate for the proper air/fuel... hopefully your system will work. if the computer sees an excess of 40 PSI in the fuel lines, it shuts the pump off....
to be 100% sure, get some designer answers...
