Default Brake Job: Which parts

Hi guys

After almost 100K miles, it is really getting time to do a serious brake job on my 2000 GT.

Could you guys tell me which rotors and pads I should get?

I had a look at the ford OEM ones but they are pretty expensive.

What about the other stuff they sell at NAPA, AutoZone, Advance Auto, etc.

I should mention that I do not want to do a huge upgrade and that I do not want to have a friction coefficient that increases when pads get hot (street/strip).

This is my daily driver and winter beater in an area with a lot of snow during wintertime.

Thanks in advance

Tirerack.com has many different parts or kits (rotors, calipers, pads, etc)

They have the complete BREMBO and PowerSlot line, you can get plain discs, xdrilled or slotted, even fozen rotors (liquid nitrogen treatment).

My advice is plain or slotted rottors, dont use X drilled. Brembo uses 1st grade materials, Powerslot just adds slots to otherwise stock discs.
