My speedometer suddenly stopped logging mileage.

68035 miles.
Both the trip mileage meter and the permantent mileage have stopped working.
But the MPH needle still works.
What is the source of this problem?
Can I fix this myself?
How much does it cost, more or less?

You do nothing and wish it had happened at 38000miles lol. I dont know might wanna wait for someone elses comment thats not so smart ass-ish lol =)

sounds like the gears in the speedo that drive the odometer are not working correctly. I would try to get a replacement from somewhere and set aside a day to swap it out.
