On aftermarket setups, sometimes the air isn't hitting the sensor, so you're trying to move the sensor to where the air is best flowing.

What effect will an egr delete have on my 02 GT? Any +'s or -'s? They are cheap enough and it sounds like they go to sh*t all the time anyhow.

They go to crap because they run when your mixture is too rich. All the gunk plugs them up.

If you keep your plugs and wires in good shape or better then OEM the EGR will rarely run.

hey hows it going i was reading this post to see if it would relate to my prob it all started when i put on a new intake manifold, it all ready had the bbk cai and 75mm pleum. but when i am diving the car would act like it was running out of gas so i would push on the gas and nothing would happen i could hear the intak suck but on go power and the car is still running so i pull over and idle for a bit push on the gas the motor would rap up so i put in to gear the car would stumble like out of gas but then it takes of like nothing had happend. so i changed the fuel filter out and cleand the maf senser and still does it. so what do u guys think. 02 gt with 45k

Possible...but it seems weird it would happen RIGHT after an intake manifold install. If it was running fine before, sounds like somethings not right with the install. Maybe an injector clogged or something? I dunno, just throwing out ideas, just seems odd it happened right after the install of a new intake manifold.

do you think it would be the mass air meter cause it is sucking a lot more air in cause when i frist statred it after the install it idled rough and keep dieing so i took it to the shop and the guy said all i had to do was turn the idle up so it idle fine but is doing what i said in the last reply so could it be that idle valve

hey i have a '98 GT convertible and it's idleing too high. It normally idles at about 700rpms but now sometimes it idles at about 1000 or 1050. I replaced the IAC valve, nothing. I put in some fuel system cleaner thinking maybe the injectors were clogged and it worked for about half a day. If i rev the engine it'll rev high and take a while to come back down. it's really starting to bug the crap outta me. any ideas?

My speedo died then my car started stalling at lights just Coincidence or could it be IAC valve. Both happening within hours of each other. Any Ideas?

hey my 98 gt when i'm down reving in second and when I get down to about 1.5-2 rpms it kinda stumbles it doesn't do it all the time but it is a most of the time thing...any idea?

On my 1998 GT when I rev the engine to about 3500 and let off the gas the RPM's will drop all the way down to about 500 before picking back up to 800 after a second or so is that normal? A course when I have the a/c running it doesn't do this but I do notice the RPMS fall real slowly below 2k RPM regardless of the A/C on or off.

Kinda the same effect your describing rockstar10200 any way you can get a video recording of your RPM gauge? I am going to try to tonight.

Question Irratic Idle, stumbling

Could this problem be caused by the A/C Compressor clutch? My 99 GT has the irratic Idle and stumbling but I have found that it is only when the heater is set to one of the following A/C, Demist and Mix. In these setting the compressor is on and the clutch irratically engages and disengages (20 times / minute) does anybody no the cause? The car runs perfect when the heater is in the Vent, Floo or off position
