Default 2003 GT engine build Pointers Plz Comment

Hey guys I am sorry if I am asking all the noob questions! I am looking for answers maybe you could simply direct me to the sticky on the info. I have a 2003 Mustang GT. Has 128,000 miles I am planning to build an engine that will be a serious upgrade from the stock 4.6 I have.. I am looking for a teksid block and want to build a powerful but street legal supercharged engine.. I am completely new to this 4.6l V8.. Looking to find out the best combination of parts from what years and makes would go together the best to make a high performance motor. This will be a ground up engine build. Please don't be rude with the comments im simply looking for good advise. I can get poor responses anywhere I am hoping that this forum will the place I can make some friends and meet some experts in this endeavor..

seriously do not build what you are suggesting, sell your car and buy a Terminator...builds take buckets of cash, you'll spend more and have less than if you just get the Cobra...trust me on this

The engine is just one aspect of the build. The trans is gonna have to be built up or a replacement is in order. The rear end is gonna have to be beefed up with better axels. The suspension is also gonna have to be switched over if you want to have any traction. I am in the middle of doing this project and I have all this done and am probably in the better part of 25 grand on the project. If you dont have loads of cash to throw at the project then just buy the termi but its more fun to build than it is to buy. Usually.

Off the top of my head the Teksid blocks came in the SN95 and New Edge Cobra's pre Termi's, also the Lincoln Mark VIII's. There is differences between the Mark VIII and cobra motors. Depending on if you are going to stay 2V or go 4V you will need more or less parts.

What is your budget, what do you expect out of the car, and what do you plan to do with the car? You said you want to do a supercharger so that just leaves what type you want to run.

I will agree with the guys above on getting a Termi. I will agree that some of us enjoy building a fast car not just having one. It is your money and your choice in the end. They are just trying to give you advice cause they have been there. I have put loads of money in my 98 GT as well and wish I would have invested in a Termi.

ok well lets say I shoot for 400 hp which doesn't seems to crazy too achieve.. would I need to change out all the above mentioned parts such as the trans, and rear end.. I have time to build the motor because the one I have is running fine.. and what is the maximum hp gains possible with out changing everything. I already have upgraded struts and shocks brakes drilled slotted rotors, magnaflow exhaust and its been shortshifted

as far as the budget around 5 grand or so prolly over the course of the year.. what I want to have is a faster than normal mustang im not gonna be at the track running crazy.. im looking more for the fun of the build and give me something to keep me busy.. 400 hp should be fine for my needs.. I can do the work myself.. I just want the next motor in the car to be an upgrade from the 4.6l I have now..
Hoping with all the combined knowledge here this can be obtained

$5,000 isn't going to build you a motor and buy you a supercharger if you are wanting to build a better motor. It ain't a cheap game to go fast. I say it over and over. You are going to be looking at around $5k to do just a supercharger unless you piece it together and get used parts. You can push your stock block to 400HP but I would not go past that if much past it.
