Superchips Tuning: Advice needed

Has anyone used a superchips micro tuner, to tune their auto GT's? If so, what settings have you found best for the trans? and the temp setting?

Just sold my microtuner. The most aggresive tranny setting were okay but werent as good as my cutom tune. And you cant change the temp because you need to install a new thermostat first.

it has the option of 160, 180, stock, or superchip for the temp, i know all it does is keep the fan running, thats why i asked, and plus i heard that the 4.6's run better at stock temps. Can you clue me in, as far as how you adjusted the trans. shift pressure i usually set to max, but when ever i mess with the shift points, my car hunts for gears when i mash the gas,so i just leave it at stock.

In my honest opinion i think you'd be better off conacting Swanso Performance and purchase a programer or chip from him with his custom tune. I got a dyno tune from him but his custom program was just about the same hp/tq as i got from the dyno tune. I have an auto and know the horrors of the shift points getting mixed up. But he sets the shift points at normal driving and at WOT. He also changes the lock up points of the tourque converter making the car run great.

chips are oldschool technology man. Get a Xcal2 or diablo tuner.

Yea, i bought my superchip before my store carried SCT or Diablo. So now i guess im screwed, or maybe sell it on ebay.

scrap the superchips junk,those little programmers are crap,as long as you have a cold air intake,and catback,even thermostat your good,but if you do anything more than that there useless and will not be compatable with your car.I know because i already went through this with superchips morons,they will not warranty anything if the tuner messes up your engine due to you having more mods than the 3 i named,you can call them up and ask them like i did and they will tell you the same.And for the tb/plenum,their advice was to just put the factory back on and just install their tuner..real smart people there.as for the predator i talked to the salesman and thier real nice and from what i heard any bolt ons you do wont hurt the tuner only increase the horsepower,like it should
