Hi everyone,

I had my check engine on my stang (1999 GT conv.) so I pluged my ODB2 reader on it and give me the P0455 error code. After looking in the book I found out what it mean (Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)).

I cleared the code and it does not come back. Does some one have any idea why ?

I when for a drive last night for 30 min. so it should of come back.

you probably didnt tighten your gas cap down all the way or maybe you didnt turn off the motor while filling up on gas. I get that code in the winter because i like to leave the car on while i get gas so it warms up. Fords can be extremely touchy with engine light codes sometimes. The coolant light is touchy too. The slightest amount of sudge will trip it. Let me know if you did either thing involving the gas cap.
