Default Help with MAS issue

I recently put in 24lb injectors without changing my mas. I have a diablo tuner which i had to crank the spark advance up on just to get it to run semi properly. I had order a Granitelli(sp) mas to match my 24lb injectors but it has still not arrived and may not for awhile. My question is there anyway to make my car run smoothly with the stock mas ? would using my diablo tuner make any difference with tuning ? I'm in an area where there are no big speed shops that can write a program for me .. totaly lost on what to do any suggestions??

Put the 19lbm injetors back in. From looking at your mods, there's absolutely no need in upgrading those at this point. If you have the data cable for the Predator, I know several places that can write a tune and email it to you so you can put it on the tuner and install on the car yourself. Of course it won't be as good as a dyno tune, but it'll be close.

What about with having noz, would u recommend larger then? I have a 100hp boost set up right now. I have been reading and from what i garther 19lb injectors are only good up to 308hp. Could u either post or pm the places that will email programing? that would be awesome .. thanks.

the 308hp number is if the only agent used for combustion is gasoline and/or boost. Since N2O carries it's own components for combustion that DON'T go through the injectors, then injector size while using N2O isn't affected. As long as your car will not lean out without N2O, then it shouldn't lean out with N2O. As always when installing a power adder, get the car tuned before using it on the street. You should also go down at least one heat range in spark plugs and drop down to a 180F thermostat with a shot of that size.

Will either of these two affect daily drivability? I assume not, but since N20 wouldn't be used all of the time (if I were to do it, one weekend a month tops?) Or would it be advisable to install these only when intending on using teh spray?

If I do end up doing it (still lots of homework yet) the bottle will sit in my room between trips to the track, just to void temptation . Point being is it would be occasional...

The thermo won't. Dropping a couple heat ranges may make it idle just a bit on the rough side, but that's a very small price to pay to keep an engine together for a longer period of time.

Well since posting on here i have discovered and fixed what was causing 85% of my problem. When my cold air kit was put on (bbk) the tiny shrink tub thin connecting piece to the EGR tube was completly collapsed. I bought a larger ,stiffer piece of pipe and .. wolla the car now runs like i have never felt EVER ,made an unreal difference. I am still ordering the mas to match my 24lb injectors which i decided to keep in . I would imagine theres alot of carbon build up in the engine .. what would be the best way to 'clean' it out?

Hawl a$$ .

My best guess would be Sea Foam, but don't hold me to that - I've never tried it, just hear-say. The only other way I've heard of is simply driving and keeping the engine at a higher RPM for a bit to try and burn it out, but this might not be the right answer either.

BTW i did both of those. 2 heat ranges lower plugs and the 180 thermo.I havent run my noz since the injectors were putin . The car is running rich and everything isnt caliberated right yet .Once it is should be interesting. Thanks to bluestreak for recommending i find someone to write a tune . I contacted someone that does them for Diablo tuners and i'm waiting for it to be finished right now.

Kickass. One good way to clear out any loose carbon build up is a couple WOT runs. It should clean up any loose stuff off valves and spark plugs as well as get a good airflow moving through the intake and clean it up a little bit .

Exactly! Take it to the track, my car always runs great on the way home. Better yet, Seafoam it, then go to the track :thumbsup !
